Skin infection: I'm not clear as to the exact nature of your problem. GPC is a microbiologic finding after staining a slide that has a drop of some type of body fluid or discharge, e.g. pus. GPC may represent staph or strep, and could suggest infection or simply normal skin flora. For recurrent gluteal abscess, it may need to be drained, in conjunction with an appropriate antibiotic, based on culture result.
