UTI symptoms: Given the symptoms you've described I would be concerned about a urinary tract infection. You can always get a prenancy test as well, however you should see your doctor right away to assess the possibility of infection before it progresses.

Period to begin: It depends on how "late you are". Are you on OCP, birth control? Cramps are hard to relate to the timing of a periods. What is the main concern ?

Kidney pain: If your pain is in your lower back that's not where the kidney is located. The kidney is around the mid lateral back behind the lower rib cage. Having said that low back cramps may be a sign of impending period. If you're asking this because you had unprotected sex, check a urine pregnancy test about 2 weeks after you last did that.
