Go with DAA: In the past, treatment of Hepatitis C virus, used immune enhancing drugs, including interferons. The response rates were modest and there were many side effects. This treatment is now being replaced with direct antiviral agents (DAA), that target specific enzymes in the virus life cycle that are highly effective and associated with almost 100% cure rates.
