Yes and no: Yes a dentist can add composite resin to a porcelain fused to metal crown with any number of after market products designed for this procedure, but it a short term solution. A person's bite can generate tremendous force and do in short order that would break down and fail. The real long term solution is a new crown!

They can..: .. but it will not hold up over the long term. Composite material is not designed to withstand such forces and will either crack or debond from the porcelain. A new prosthesis is in order.

Yes, it is possible: but only on temporary bases. It won't last for long period of time. Ask your dentist for alternatives.
