Unusual: Food allergy can present as gastrointestinal symptoms, but usually nausea, vomitting and/or diarrhea. Pain by itself is not enough to make a diagnosis of allergy to avocado (or any other suspected food for that matter). Pain is more commonly seen in gastritis, esophagitis, cholecystitis, pancreatitis, etc.
