Remicade (infliximab): Remicade (infliximab) is given by IV infusion over a period of two hours. The doctor or nurse will give you something to make the needle prick hurt less. You will not feel much after the IV is running, and when over there is a mild discomfort removing the needle. Stress that after several primary injections, you may have to receive it every two months, but other types are weekly, but not IV injections.
