Mouth itching: Most apple allergies occur in patients with pollen allergies and only cause mouth or throat itching when eaten raw, but not when cooked. Less commonly, patients could be allergic to both raw and cooked apples, and present with more serious symptoms, such as throat swelling or trouble breathing, or hives.
