Arthritis: See a physician to find out what type of arthritis you have. Antiinflammatories like ibuprofen or pain relievers like Tylenol (acetaminophen) may be recommended. For more serious forms of arthritis, different treatments May be required.

Things to consider: Besides working with a hand physical therapy and/or surgeon, some things that you can consider trying at home: ice packs, tart cherries/juice, epsom salt baths, ginger tea, apple cider vinegar(diluted in water), ice packs and/or castor oil(take it easy on this or otherwise you will be stricken with diarrhea). Feel free to give these options a whorl as they have limited adverse effects.

Arthritis: I am assuming this is osteoarthritis(wear and tear)--if it is rheumatoid arthritis the treatment would be different. A primary care doctor can order simple bloodwork to start the evaluation of rheumatoid arthritis. Start with tylenol (acetaminophen) (as directed on bottle) and use some capsaicen cream. You should start with tylenol (acetaminophen) before NSAIDS because of less side effects. If this doesnt work see your PCP.

Needs Evalu: You should not be experiencing arthritis in hands at your age. You need evaluation including X-Rays, Lab Studies (Blood) and a Physical Examination. A history of trauma either acute or repetitive (?dealing) might be contributing but I believe you need some face to face evaluation.
