Hydrate: Foot cramps are common and over 65, many cramping episodes can be prevented by ensuring adequate hydration either with water alone or mixed with a mild electrolyte beverage like Gatorade, which has some sodium and potassium in it. If your stools are regular you can add a magnesium supplement for a short time. Lastly, shoes with good arch support, mild heat and local massage to the area may help.
