Many possibilities: A lot of times its due to a decrease in fluid/water intake over a period of time.Could also be an early sign of irritable bowel syndrome, hypothyroidism, or low potassium levels.Can also occur during pregnancy and due to chronic use of some medications like iron supplements, antihistamines, antidepressants, and blood pressure drugs.Try increasing water intake and consider a stool softener to help
