Which enzymes?: There are different types of enzymes. It depends on the reasons for seeing the doctor, checking the enzymes, and the type. There are, for instance, liver and cardiac enzymes, and within these, there are different types that have different significance. Every test should be ordered with a knowledge that its results will change the management. Clarify with your doctor.

More information: By Enzymes do you mean Liver enzymes? If that's the case then that is not good, if he drinks alcohol he should stop, if he's overweight he should lose weight, if he's taking any medication which causes liver damage it should be discontinued, especially OTC herbal pills. Please clarify what enzymes are elevated.
