What causes a nodular melanoma as opposed to a superficial. i know how they are different but looking for the differences in why the start different.

Same causes: Type of skin, ease of burning in sun. Genetic factors. Accumulated exposure to radiation, UV and other kinds. Aspirin reduces risk if used for at least 5 years, only if NOT COATED, at 81mg (baby chewable aspirin). No evidence of benefit for omega 3 except effect on labs, but clinical benefit not found.

Structural only: The difference is structural only, how the melanoma cells rise up above the level of the surrounding skin or not. The causes are no different. Nor is the treatment.
