A member asked:

What does it mean if a 1 year old is anemic and has a slightly low wbc?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Nothing special: Many kids have grown so fast in their first year that they have outgrown their capacity to keep their blood supply up. Iron intake can be a limiting factor and supplements will usually fix this.A slightly low white count is common and often transient in kids that age.If concerned, your doc can repeat both studies in a few months.
