A member asked:

If trying for a baby what kind of vitamins shoud add? is folic acid good to take when you trying for a baby?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Folic acid is good: When you are trying for a baby, you need nutritious foods such as fruits and vegetables while avoiding unhealthy "junk" foods. Taking a pre-natal vitamin is a good idea. A pre-natal vitamin is formulated for pregnancy so it will have the right dose of folic acid, calcium, Iron, Omega-3 and other vitamins. Unless advised, avoid single vitamins. High doses of some vitamins can hurt the baby.
