Contraceptive: It is a Monophasic contraceptive which it has the same amount of hormone in each pill. it should be taken at the same time everyday to increase efficacy. BCP (birth control pill) increases the risk of blood clots, heart attack and stroke. the risk is higher in smokers and obese patients. Also BCP could increase the risk of cervical cancer and breast ca but decreases risk of ovarian and uterus ca.

Anytime works: As long as you take them as prescribed and follow the arrows on your package insert, day/night/evening doesn’t really matter. Oral Contraceptive, like any medication , have some side & adverse effects. Your pharmacist or prescribing doctor should have discussed them with you. Common ones include Break-through bleeding, Breast tenderness or discharge, bloating, nausea, weight change, headache etc
