Coccyx pain: Sounds like nerve pain or coccydynia. Make sure you don't have an infection above the rectum like a pilonidal cyst. This will appear as a hard red bulge. They sometimes need to be surgically drained. Your regular physician should be able to examine you and rule out infection. A rectal tear or anal fissure can also produce severe pain with sitting and with defecation. Try ice, heat or warm bath.
