A member asked:

Should a woman who's had gestational diabetes three times get in touch with an endocrinologist?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Risk of diabetes: She is at risk of developing type 2 diabetes and should be tested for this probably on a yearly basis. She would only need to see an endocrinologist if she was actually found to have type 2 diabetes that her primary doctor did not feel comfortable treating.
