I have lower back pain worse on right side after having a colonoscopy done. have not poo ed in 5 days either! ?

Normal: We all have benign bacteria in our colon that help to regulate movement of stool in the colon & do other good things. The prep cleaned them out. What you now may be having is gas pains and maybe a hard stool not moving along. My advice is to drink a lot of water and buy some probiotics and eat Activia yogurt daily for a week. You might also try a stool softener Like Colace (docusate sodium). Also eat more roughage,

Constipation: Most likely the pains you have may be from constipation. Increase the fluids in your diet, and take a laxative to try and POO. If no relief, you need to see the Doc. Good luck
