Yes: Pain, redness, fever, chills. Is any part of the port eroding through the skin? May need blood cultures. See your doctor.

Yes: The skin and tissues surrounding the port can become warm, red and tender if the infection surrounds the port. If the catheter portion is infected the there may only be an elevated temperature and chills.
