Yes: Very common to have breakthrough bleeding the first 3 months on any birth control pill. Keep taking the pill, bleeding will likely resolve. And, yes, you will likely have a period during the placebo pills.

I'm experiencing heavy breakthrough bleeding that feels like a period, one week before placebos, in my 3rd month of taking birth control. Is this worrisome? I haven't skipped a pill, although I took it two hours late a couple of times this month.
