Should i get an mri on ankle?sprained my ankle twice in about a week, pain and swelling 8 months later. is their possible structural damage?

First, a doctor: MR is not always needed. First, I would see an orthopedic surgeon who deals with the foot & ankle or see a podiatrist. He or she will determine if imaging is needed. If no X-ray has been done, then X-ray will most likely be first to look at the bones and joints. If more information is needed, then MR.

See a doctor: First step is to have a medical exam. Then it can be determined if any testing is needed.
