A member asked:

My daughter is 5 months and 2 weeks old. she has been eating solids since 4 months. can i give her baby snacks (i.e veggie sticks, etc) she doesn't crawl?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No. Still too young.: Babies around 6-8 months are breast feeders or bottle feeders, with pureed (or very mashed up) foods just for treats or learning experiences, but not as big parts of their diet. Babies don't chew food even after their first birthdays. Solid foods are too risky, and even so-called teething biscuits tend to choke babies. If trying such finger foods before 18 months, learn to do baby CPR first!
