Within 2 weeks: Every 3 days cut the dose your are using in half. After 12 days, your dose should be low enough to stop completely. You may need some ibuprofen or naproxen to help with any increase of pain. Good luck.

Oxycodone- opiate : this type of medication does not generally need a taper though it depends on how much you have been using how difficult the withdrawal will be.
