Congrtulations!: Let your family know of your intention. If you are heavy drinker; you will have withdrawal symptoms and you will need help of some kind of Tranquilizer or Anti anxiety medicine to help with emotional Irritability/Agitation. If you are daily drinker without binging, then you need determination and self discipline

Good idea: Having a drinking problem is worldwide. Can be difficult to do it alone. You must confer with your family physician for guidance to a specialist who deals with patients who have a drinking problem. There is no magic pill and it takes a lot of courage on your part to participate with the person who is guiding you to succeed. It will be a lifetime of work. DO NOT GIVE UP. Good luck
