Do you really think cannabis has any medicinal properties at all?

Well: This is just my personal opinion and many will disagree with me. But I do think it has helpful medicinal properties. My experience with cancer and chronic pain patients has taught me that despite being on aggressive comprehensive conventional medical therapy, cannibis has been the only thing to relieve their nausea, chronic pain, spasticity. I do not discourage its use in this setting.

Well, studies show: The Academy of Neurology recently published its guidelines on the use of medical marijuana for neurological issues. I like the following review which you may be able to pull up: http://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/824227 I've never used it for any purpose myself. I've prescribed forms of it during my career in isolated circumstances with mixed results. I believe it has a role in medicine.

Definitely, yes: Many medical conditions like chronic pain, nausea, muscle spasm, etc. The good example is Marinol available by prescription and FDA approved for nausea. Take care.

I do: However it is a largely unstudied drug. People have been using it recreationally and claims it does a wide variety of good for you etc etc. I'd like to see better research on it.

Significant: Keep in mind, cannabis is not part of standard medical training, but I'm sure it will soon be incorporated. From clinical experience there are significant benefits to cannabis therapy, particularly in an older population. In the adolescent population, it does negatively affect memory, cognition, and school performance. It helps with nausea, appetite, pain perception, sleep, among other benefits.
