Multiple approach: Severe sinus problems are rather common, and can be very difficult to treat definitively. Treatment approaches for acute or subacute to recurrent sinusitis may include antibiotic, hot shower/compresses over sinus areas, rx of any allergic component, certain nasal medications or saline, at time oral steroids. If problem persists, shouodnc ENT doc, may need sinus x-rays or ct scan, possibly surgery.
