Very common: Low to medium grade fever is very common 7-10 days after the varicella vaccine. Usually lasts 1-3 days. It's a good sign that his body is building the proper immune response to the vaccine. Encourage fluid, and otherwise no treatment needed - it's a good thing to have happen.
