20 yr old female w/ ms. sudden onset intense tingling, temporary paralysis and claw position of hands. md told me acidosis. concur??

A doctor has provided 1 answer

?alkalosis?: Sounds to me more like the opposite of acidosis, a condition called alkalosis. This is caused by breathing too fast, usually when upset/anxious. It's whyyou breath into a paper bag when you're breathing too fast - because this exactly can happen, and it's because you are blowing off too much acid too fast and become alkalotic. Your symptoms are classic. If happens again, breath into paper bag.
