How come my son ended up getting strep 3 days after started taking cephalixen, cetirizine, and cimetidine?

Confusing question: Strep is killed by cephalexin and a positive quick test would be possible because it will be so with dead germs.A positive culture would be less likely, but possible with a vigorous sampling technique.I would assume the strep was already present but additional testing confirmed it.
