No and yes: No; surgical correction of a deviated septum has no effect on nasal allergies.Whatever you are allergic to before, you are after surgery.You may be less affected, because you can breathe better, but allergies will persist. The presence of nasal allergies does increase the risk of recurrent sinus disease and may lead someone to consider surgery that would not otherwise.
