HgA1c: Have you tested HgAc.. What about post prandial glucose levels ? What type of insulin do you use, and what is your schedule ? Many questions in this issue.. but bottom line is that the insulin regimen you are following is not optimial..

Carbs and diabetes: You need to look at carbohydrate intake. Educate yourself about the glycemic index which describes good and bad carbs. Eating carbs that are complex and have a low glycemic index may help. Also consider checking thyroid functions. The thyroid hormone is needed to drive sugar into the cells properly. If it is too high or too low it will worsen blood sugar control.

Several things: Hi. Are you type 1 or type 2? Eating a healthy diet is wonderful, and I encourage you to keep it up FOR LIFE. In type 1 and type 2 diabetes, various factors can alter blood sugar: illness, diet (quantity and quality), exercise, stress, etc. We often don't identify a cause for blood sugar going up. Nevertheless, the proper response is to compensate with higher insulin doses (basal and/or meal)
