? Iron deficiency: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, you appear to have mild iron deficiency. You may take oral iron supplement available over the counter. Take the pills with meals and if you develop constipation, take a fiber laxative.

Iron: Because you IBC is high, you may try to increase your intake of iron rich foods; Foods rich in iron include: Red meat, Pork, Poultry, Seafood, Beans, Dark green leafy vegetables, such as spinach, dried fruit, such as raisins and apricots, Iron-fortified cereals, breads and pastas. Also, take iron fortified multivitamins.
