Great Question: This is a great question, and a really important one, because these medications are used to treat conditions that can come back over and over if medication is stopped (like major depression, or panic attacks). So far, so good--long term studies with SSRI's that have been on the market for many years seem to indicate they are safe long term. See your prescriber to discuss your memory concerns.
