Finished? On meds?: There is a reason for your retreatment of your root canal. Was it infection, pain in function, swelling? Retreatment can cause material to be pushed beyond the apex of the root to cause irritation, etc... It is correct to advise your dentist. If you are not on meds (your dentist can decide based on why treatment was needed), and you'll have your condition evaluated by a professional.

Pain after root cana: It's not normal to have pain begin to develop 2 days after a root canal. That's a sign of inflammation which takes about 48 hours to develop. Sounds like you might be developing an abscessed tooth. I notice you're not on an antibiotic, which you might benefit from. You should discuss your increasing pain with your dentist, and you may need to see an .Endodontist.

No: Pain indicates a build-up of pressure, usually caused by recurrent infection. You would be best served by having tooth reevaluated by a specialist Endodontist. Please see your treating Endodontist or treating General Dentist ASAP for reevaluation.
