A high bite: Sensitivity after a filling is placed can occur for a number of reasons. The most common is a high bite that cause your tooth to have trauma when you bite and the tooth becomes very sensitive. During the procedure you are numb, the bite may feel okay but in reality be slightly high. The bite needs simple adjustment and appointment with your dentist is warranted. Good luck.

Inflammation: Sensitivity equates to inflammation. If the bite is high, then all of your occlusal forces are being placed on that tooth. Have your dentist adjust the bite and see if that helps.
