Having problems with constipation, bloating and loss of appetite. miralax (polyethylene glycol) causes me to burp alot. i had a colonoscopy l-l/2 years ago that was normal.?

Diet: If you have had a full work-up for your constipation, including lab tests. And you've reviewed any medications that might cause constipation, like blood pressure medications, then i would suggest you work on diet. Some people need a lot of fiber. So lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. Also, the yogurt activia contains a probiotic that helps with constipation.

Agree with Dr. S: Get more fiber and drink enough water so that your urine is mostly colorless.
You may take a fiber laxative like Metamucil. For the long term you may try to increase your intake of fiber foods. Consult this site for fiber foods.
