Will drinking wine have an adverse effect on someone with gall bladder problems?

Wine & gallbladder: Wine should not aggravate gall bladder problems (except possibly if there is already liver or pancreas inflamation from significant obstruction). Fatty foods are what irritate the gallbladder. Alcohol is a modified sugar (ethanol) and won't do this in moderate amounts by itself.

It might: Most people with gallstones or other issues with their gallbladder really never have problems related to these, but in some people the gallbladder gets inflamed from them, or the stones get stuck in the bile ducts and cause obstruction, pain and sometimes even rupture, with infection, bleeding and even death. Alcohol is bad for both liver and gall bladder function, but 1-2 glasses shouldn't hurt.
