Post-op: After an operation, there is pain that is typically managed with a variety of pain medication. There can also be disordered pattern of intestinal function (ileus), that can lead to bloating, nausea and vomiting requiring IV fluid. Return to normal activity is usually 6-8 weeks. Ask your surgeon for post-op instructions now to familiarize yourself. Best of luck. I'm sure you'll be fine.
