Some types of bacterial bowel infection like salmonella are not treated with antibiotics unless severe. If vomiting persists, additional evaluation is urgently needed.

Vomiting: How old is "she"? E coli does not come from antibiotics. In most cases of gastroenteritis or food poisoning - antibiotics are not indicated and fluid resplacement is appropriate. However, 2 weeks of vomiting without diarrhea is unlikely to be gastroenteritis. That is a long time. Pregnant? Was the bacteria the found H pylori? If so, antibiotics are indicated in most cases.

"Bowel bacterial infection" refers to a possible bad infection that usually does require antibiotics. Does not sound like a complete or thorough explanation.
