Taking diuretic, urine output is more than liquid intake last 2 days. what could be the reason?

Catch up: if a pt takes on sodium and water over a short period of time the water pills may cause an increase in urine out put until the "catch up" phase is over and things are back to baseline, if it continues then pts become dehydrated and the urine output decreases as the body tries to "hold on" to water.
