Seems like: You've tried it already. However you could substitute the meloxicam for ibuprofen or naproxen OTC to see if that helps more. If that doesn't help I woful suggest seeing your doctor for other options.

Not enough info: Narcotics are not a treatment for arthritic types of pain. Try meloxicam and give it 2 weeks. If the pain persists have an orthopedist or rheumatologist take a look.
