My 7 month old baby suck his thumb too much, what to do & when he ll stop?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Thumb sucking: Infants have an innate need and desire to suck. This is a good thing because it keeps them fed. Some babies want to suck more than others. That's why some like thumbs or pacifiers. During infancy there is really no way to stop thumb sucking - as soon as you leave the room, the infant will put it back in there. As the child grows in to a toddler and wants his hands for other things, he'll stop.
