Multiple causes: An elevated sed rate is not specific and can be seen with inflammation or infection. A positive ANA is very non-specific but can be seen with multiple rheumatological conditions. These results combined with other tests, such as a Rheumatoid factor and anti-ccp along with your symptoms, may help narrow a cause.
