See his pediatrician: Blood isn't normal. Sometimes it can appear to be blood related to food stuffs that he may be eating like beets. But it can also be related to issues around the anus like fissures or hemorrhoids(uncommon) or other forms of irritation in that area. But can also be a sign of concerning irritation of the lower gastrointestinal tract(aka colon). You should really bring him to his pediatrician.

Are his poops hard?: The most common blood-in-stool issues result from stools that are too hard, or fissuring at the anus.Check his bum,if you see a small crack in the skin with blood that is your answer. In either case if it is just a few drops of Bright red blood then almost all cases are completely benign and will stop once his stools become soft again. try increasing fruits and decreasing dairy. this usually helps

Watch for more blood: Common causes of bloody stool include small tears of the anus, internal hemorrhoids, infectious diarrhea, and rarely benign juvenile polyps. Watchful waiting is reasonable as long as he remains well appearing. I would visit your doctor if there was weight loss, persistent blood in his diapers, bloody diarrhea, or irritability with stool that looks like currant jelly. Be sure to wash your hands!
