See dentist: Were you diagnosed with gingivitis by your doctor or dentist? You should never take antibiotics that weren't exactly prescribed for your condition. It could make things more difficult to treat in the future. It is best for you to go back to your dentist to have it looked at again. They may re-prescribe or give you something stronger. Best wishes.

Treatment, not Mx: It sounds like you are treating yourself. This is always a bad idea and is often ineffective or useless. The cause of the swollen gums needs first be determined and then treated. Taking pain medication for a broken foot might relieve some discomfort but will not ensure that your foot heals properly. See a dentist for an evaluation and proper care. Otherwise you really aren't solving anything.

Dentist ?: Did your dentist prescribe this medication for you? Antibiotics do not cure dental problems like they do a sore throat, for example. You'll need to be seen by a local dentist for treatment. Please call for an appointment.
