While addictive: Potential may have a genetic basis, it is not linked to ethnic, racial, religious, or socieconomic groups. And while tendencies may be genetic, practice is voluntary. Knowing your family history might make you want to shy away frm experimenting with even mild substance (etoh, cannabis).
