Several kinds: At your age, you most likely have a benign lesion. You made a smart move to have a dermatologist look at it but again this is most likely not a problem.

Depends: What you are describing could be a benign (normal) skin lesion as well. However any changes in the appears of your moles or any new skin lesions should be brought to the attention of your friendly dermatologist. Remember to wear sunscreen when you are outside and never use a tanning bed. My patients wish that they could tell their 19 year old self to be more careful around the sun.
