Need numbers: Depending on the details, medicine may be needed. If only moderately high, and monitored frequently, EXERCIZE and weight loss are possibly enough at your age.

High blood pressure: Hard to say without knowing what your blood pressure readings actually are. That being said, if you need to lose 80 lbs, then you will undoubtedly have improvements in your blood pressure without all that extra weight. There are a huge number of other benefits to being at a healthy weight, so please do start a sound diet and exercise plan.
