Results: Just because there is nothing sinister on the CT, that does not mean there are not any findings at all. Also, just because there is nothing sinister on the CT, that does not mean you are not still having symptoms. Either one would be a legitimate reason to see the doctor.

Formality: Typically the physician will have your entire picture including all tests/scans/labs ordered. The followup is needed so your physician can explain the results, answer any questions that you might have, and offer treatment options. A negative abdominal/pelvic scan doesn't mean you are healthy. It does eliminate some possible causes of your symptoms.
