Chills: The answer of what to do for chills depends on the underlying cause. If it is a simple temperature issue, put on a coat. However, there are number of medical conditions that can cause chill that you should seek medical evaluation for. These include a wide variety of infection, cancer, and hormonal causes. See your doctor if you suspect any of these.

Infection?: Chills are usually a symptom of an infection. Sometimes kidney infections can present in this manner. I would have your doctor check your blood counts and a urine and do a full exam.
